According to the Head of the City of Youth, Sports and Tourism (Disporapar) of Balikpapan City, Dortje Marpaung, the postponement was due to the unprepared Covid-19 Health Protocol on the beach.

Until now Disporapar is still preparing the health protocol, which include placing 10 portable hand washing stations, Thermo Gun the Covid-19 detector, and online payment system for entry ticket.
