Alumnus of IPB Bekasi to Overcome Unemployment and School Dropouts

For IPB University alumni, Bekasi is a city that holds great potential in terms of human resources. This was revealed by Asep Kayudin, who is familiarly called Akay, in front of the participants of the Branch Conference (Muscab of the Branch Leadership Council (DPC) HA IPB Bekasi City). So that the success of its alumni from Bekasi has been seen, in the government, private sector, professional, and even in the political sector.

IPB Bekasi City Alumni, Lely Pelitasari, who once served as Director of the Logistics Business Agency (Bulog) and Chair of the Central Ombudsman, who also attended the Muscab event, said that HA IPB Bekasi City was united in maintaining the integrity of the organization and the solidity of the management and alumni. "Professional in implementing work programs and collaborating with stakeholders in Bekasi City," she said.

The HA IPB Bekasi City conference was implemented as a mandate from the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART) of the HA IPB Central Leadership Council (DPP) for alumni regeneration, especially in terms of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education for community service.

"Harvard also has a program like IPB; they call it an endowment fund, and the amount is now far above IPB. Well, we can make that an encouragement to help the next generation of IPB."

Secretary General of DPP HA IPB, Sukma Kamajaya, said that there are also many IPB alumni living in Bekasi City who have played a role, made real contributions, and achieved at the national and international levels. So that HA IPB Bekasi City has several real activities that are productive and have the potential to create new jobs.

In December 2025, for example, there will be an alumni people's party, which will be filled with a series of fruit, spice, coffee, culinary festivals, and other activities within the framework of the HA IPB National Conference.

The results of the HA IPB Bekasi City conference were to determine a new management for the 2025-2029 period, with Ferry Cahyadi Putra as Chair of the DPC HA IPB Bekasi City and Secretary General, Dimas Muttakhin. Both are alumni of the millennial generation of IPB University. The senior alumnus from the Faculty of Forestry, Deisman Nasution, served as Chair of the Supervisory Board.

Under his leadership, Ferry Cahyadi Putra said that the issue of the employment economy is the most important thing in Bekasi City that must be addressed immediately. "While at the global level, amidst the turmoil of the Ukraine-Russia war, tensions in the Middle East, we must be strong supporters of Indonesia's food security. This is among the programs that will be a priority for HA IPB Bekasi City," said Ferry.
