The "Navigation School" held by the Indonesian Mountaineering Federation (FMI) Jakarta Provincial Board for three days on May 29-31, 2025, was considered a success.
The 20 participants who have followed the event came from many professional backgrounds. Those are scouts, humanitarian volunteers, and students of nature lovers (Sispala).
There are two kinds of sessions for the event: a theory session and a field practice. The theory is given indoors, Vocational School of Pembangunan Pengayoman in Jakarta. While field practice is carried out at the Sukamantri Campsite, West Java.

The Head of Chief, Rheno, explained that the navigation technique taught in Navigation School is a manual and digital technique, integrated during the session. They also learn about the refractivity of marking and the making of a waypoint.
I'm so glad to join this positive activity, because I got an in-depth explanation. I think I understand all the material given," said the Sispala from SMA 30 Jakarta, Gurprit Kaur.
"Land navigation taught by the mentor can be understood clearly, and it's important to learn, for those nature activities," says the Sispala from SMA 70 Jakarta.
This Navigation School of FMI is also supported by the producer of apparel adventure Eiger, the distributor of hiking gear Tendon Indonesia, and the Tricora Nature Community of the University of Trilogy.
